The result is uncompressed 16-bit PCM with every audio sample set to zero. Choose the sample rate and channel count that match the destination timeline. The page creates the WAV in memory and provides a temporary local download. No audio or project details are sent to a server.
Where blank audio is useful
Silence can preserve timing between narration clips, test an upload pipeline, create a placeholder, or extend a timeline. It is different from recorded room tone, which contains the natural background sound of a location. For dialogue editing, room tone often makes an edit less noticeable than absolute digital silence.
Choose settings deliberately
Use the same sample rate as the rest of the project to avoid conversion. Mono is enough for many speech workflows; stereo doubles the stored samples even though both channels are silent. The ten-minute limit prevents accidental creation of very large files in a mobile browser.
