Read Word and text documents without an upload
TXT content is read directly. DOCX files are opened as document packages and the main Word XML is extracted. Processing stays in the tab; headers, comments, tracked changes, text boxes, and complex tables may require manual review.
Sections, speed, and saved progress
The tool detects common chapter headings or separates long material at paragraph boundaries. Select a section, choose an installed voice and speed, and stop when needed. The selected section index and playback preference are saved only in local browser storage.
Limits and private generation
Files larger than 15 MB and unsupported extensions are rejected. A selected English excerpt of up to 1,000 characters can use the local AI engine to create WAV. The parser library and model files may need a first network download, but the document body is not sent to VoiceAI Free.
