How local EPUB reading works

An EPUB is a ZIP package containing a manifest and a sequence of XHTML chapters. This tool opens that package in memory, follows the declared spine, strips markup, and makes each readable section selectable. The selected file and extracted text are not posted to VoiceAI Free.

What to check after extraction

Books can contain footnotes, navigation entries, tables, image captions, or publisher-specific markup. Review the opening pages and chapter transitions. Files larger than 15 MB and DRM-protected books are rejected, and the tool does not remove access controls.

Listening and local WAV limits

Choose an installed voice and playback speed, then return later to the locally saved chapter position. A selected English excerpt of up to 1,000 characters can be generated as a local WAV with the Kokoro model. Verify all applicable rights before distribution.
